Silent Partners by Lawrence Ricketts

Praise from IndieReader

The fast-paced tempo of the action is conveyed here in author Lawrence Ricketts’ use of dense, terse chapters which move the reader along the narrative and create a sense of urgency congruent to the narrative’s action itself. Pauses in the action serve as momentary oases for exposition, more of the booze and broad humor noir enhancements, and even some light romantic interludes to keep the characters humanized, while structural bullet points throughout keep the reader balanced on the same precarious knife-edge that the characters themselves are trying to survive. The results of this craftsmanship combined with the thoroughly engaging storyline create an engaging thriller that is certain to satisfy both long-time fans of the genre and those new to the traditional action espionage saga.

With engaging characters, a complex yet competent storyline and a writing style which captures the urgency of the narrative, Lawrence Ricketts has created nothing short of a top-notch thriller in THE DARKEST OF GAMES.

The Darkest of Games: My husband wrote these books This is a great opportunity for me to promote these books that my husband wrote. From all the feedback that we have received I would suggest they are a great read. We have friends who normally are not readers but have not been able to put these books down and after reading the first book, "The Third Law" insisted that they be advised as soon as the 2nd book became available. Try them and see for yourselves.

Praise for The Third Law

Praise from IndieReader

In THE THIRD LAW, author Lawrence Ricketts constructs a fast-paced thriller packed with intrigue, deceit, honor and betrayal…. THE THIRD LAW reads quickly and easily, and the dialogue dances the story across Colombia, Miami and, in an intriguing side story, from Vancouver to Ontario and into New York. As the novel gathers momentum, Ricketts allows for the bonds between his characters to strengthen. These aren’t one-sided cops and robbers from dimestore paperbacks…The tragedy that launches the story steers it through thrilling twists with a clear moral compass. Actions and reactions surprise yet make sense. The lines of the law may be crossed, but the heroes keep justice as a singular guidepost as they calmly and smartly pursue the bad guys.THE THIRD LAW takes the reader down a thrilling path through the shadows of the drug world. Don’t pass up the chance to pick up this enthralling and engaging story.

Silent Partners

What people are saying about Silent Partners

“the characters in Ricketts’ story are well developed, with Morgan and Bonnie feeling eminently believable, loved up, and capable without the almost invincible feel of some hero characters.”

” With short, sharp chapters, the text barrels along in an easy-reading style, slipping between different angles on the same story and slowly unveiling its key aspects to the reader as it flows.”

“There’s a familiarity, but also an excitement that builds from the high volume of action and the rapidly short-but-sweet insights.”
